Sand Mountain

Sand Mountain

I found this sand mountain in Southern California on Interstate 8 between Yuma AZ and San Diego. Almost enough to fill a sandbox, don't you think!

Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Mount Shasta

Next Installment

Hi gang. Hope all is well with everybody. I went to Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Southern California, back to Oregon then home in the last 10 or 12 days. Long drive considering California and Oregon speed limit is 55 MPH for trucks. Saw a bunch of really pretty country. Found some really pretty flowers in the Arizona desert. Mount Shasta and Lake Shasta in Northern California are really pretty. The Columbia river gorge is very pretty right now as well. Just a few pictures to help you enjoy them too.

Hi Gang

Last week was a busy week. I picked up a load of Malt-O-Meal cereal in Tremonton, UT. and took it to Portland TN, just South of Bowling Green KY. When I unloaded in Portland I headed to Dyersburg TN where I picked a load of cat litter and delivered it to Dollar General in Fulton MO. My next load was picked up in Kansas City KS. A load of empty Pizza boxes to be delivered in Denver, CO. When I unloaded in Denver I could not get the next load until the next day, so I spent a while with the Thompson gang. The boys are growing up. Jenny actually bought hamburger and made a really yummy Shepards Pie for dinner, and oatmeal pancakes for breakfast. Really good Jen. Thanks for all to the Thompson's. Picked up a load of empty Shasta pop bottles to bring to Salt Lake City. Then home to spend Sunday with my sweetie. While I was in Fulton MO we found this really friendly Canadian Goose. I also met some new friends this week. Mike and Letticia. He drives for LW Miller as well, she was just riding. They have a dozen grandkids. I had dinner with them one evening. They are about our age. Neat folks. That's about it for the week. Take care all. Be Good. Love each other. I love you all.

JEFFERSON DAVIS MONUMENT

This is the Jefferson Davis memorial monument in Western Kentucky. I drive past this monument every time I take a load to Portland Tennessee. Kids and grand kids assignment; Who was Jefferson Davis? What did he do? Why would this monument be here in his memory? Does anything he did affect us today? Talk about this in your families please. Gramps

HEY ALL

Finally unloaded Sunday night and loaded in Stephenville, TX on Monday morning. Picked up a load of cheese from Schreiber Foods in Stephenville to deliver in Logan, UT. Good to be coming home. It's always good to see the mountains again when you've been away for a while. They are starting to farm in Texas, calves are being born all over. I think SPRING is on it's way. I'll spend a day and a half with granny SMITH then head out again. Love you all, Hope the Trans have a great time in southern Cal, and uncle Cody arrives home safe. Take care and get better all and LOVE EACH OTHER!!!

Hey Gang, are you shocked or what?

Hi all
I hope you have all had a great week. I understand Tyson went thru it with the Doctors this week. Great job Tyson, I hope it all helps, sorry that you have to have the allergy shots twice a week, but if it helps it may be worth it.
Well I was loaded with French Fries and Hash Browns (yum) in Burley, ID. on Sunday night this week and drove to Plover, WI. (COLD!!!). The route took me thru Idaho Falls and Island Park up to I-90 in Montana. Of course you cannot go thru Ashton without a stop at BIG JUDDS for a large Ironport and a double cheeseburger and some of those really yummy french fries with fry sauce, and a picture of the Tetons. Unloaded in Plover on Wednesday morning and drove to Appleton WI. (just south of Green Bay) and picked up a load of Sonic breaded Cheese Sticks (double yum!!!) to deliver in Fort Worth, TX. on Sunday evening. So here I am, sitting in Denton, TX. waiting for Sunday eve.
You guys have a great weekend, and a super week next week. give the grandkids all hugs and kisses. I love you all.
Hugs and kisses babe.
